The home hero and six guide covers are original AI-generated artist's impressions prepared for The Canterbury Directory using OpenAI image generation, November 2026. They illustrate local life rather than document actual people, premises or events.

The home scene interprets Canterbury Cathedral and its precinct gardens. The About cover interprets Westgate Towers and the River Stour. Other scenes represent a river outing, neighbourhood community life, independent shopping, business owners and a festive market.

Architecture and local-context references include Canterbury Cathedral, Friends of Westgate Parks and Visit Canterbury. Reference photographs informed the Cathedral and Westgate illustrations; the finished paintings are artistic interpretations.

Generic category photographs remain the established directory assets. Business logos and photographs belong to their respective businesses and appear with their listings.
